In 2014 FEAR and HOPE was a part of The Perfect World Foundation’s Save the Rhino project. FEAR and HOPE donated art to the Art Conservation Auction which was launched at the fund raising event, Save the Rhino Gala at the Clarion Post Hotel in Gothenburg 18 September 2014.
The art was created by Camilla Jönsson who while in South-Africa put together a team for an awareness project. The art were a triptrych of images inspired by South-Africa’s most endangered species: the black rhino, the Sahara Addax and the African wild dog. The FEAR and HOPE art created and donated by Camilla Jönsson generated €10,000. Overall the Gala was a great success and collected net €200,000 in favor to the Rhinos.
During 2014, The Perfect World Foundation specifically targeted the Wildlife trade under the name “Save The Rhino 2014″, the rhino is the ambassador for elephants, lions, tigers etc. with extra focus on the ongoing poaching, raising awareness and funds. The whole world is fighting to save the last remaining Rhinos and Elephants. If poaching continues at current levels there will be no wild Rhinos or Elephants left in 5-7 years’ time.
The event was visited by prominent guests such as the Swedish crown Princess Victoria among others.
Camilla Jönsson of FEAR and HOPE which attended the event is now also a proud Rhino Ambassador on behalf of The Perfect World Foundation.
