The Environment and Endangered Species

The rapid extinction rate of animal species is today estimated to be 1,000 to 10,000 times faster than the earth´s normal extinction rate. This is a consequence of our unsustainable way of life which degrades our eco-systems due to pollution, climate change, deforestration and shrinking of animal habitats. When an animal species is lost the consequences affects the whole eco-system and often we cannot foresee in what way.

Healthy eco-systems are essential for all life on earth as they provide conditions for biodiversity and the purification of air, land and water, as well as, good conditions to grow crops and food. All these services are provided to us for free and are sustainable if we take care of them. FEAR and HOPE wants to be a part of a more sustainable world today and for future generations where a rich biodiversity of animal species plays an important role.
